My Story

RelaxToTravel.com is a travel blog sharing authentic travel guides, tours, and travel hacks, by professional traveler Larry Chandler. My journey into the world of travel began rather unexpectedly during my high school years. I remember stepping onto an airplane for the first time with my band class, as we flew from Dallas, TX, to Orlando, FL, to visit the enchanting Disney World. The excitement was palpable, and the thrill of flying surrounded me like a warm blanket. But what truly made that flight unforgettable was when the captain offered my friend and me the chance to sit in the cockpit area while they flew the plane. The experience was exhilarating, as we watched the world swirl beneath us, and I felt a spark igniting within me—a passion for adventure and exploration.

However, my love for flying faced a challenge a few years later. On my next flight, turbulence hit like an unexpected storm, and I found myself gripped by anxiety. The once joyful anticipation of travel became clouded with fear, and I knew I needed to find a way to reclaim my excitement for flying and vacations alike. This quest for relaxation became the seed for what would eventually grow into RelaxToTravel.com. I dove headfirst into discovering various methods to ease my travel anxiety and make my experiences enjoyable again.
